RES golfers compete in British Red Cross charity event

A team of four golfers from RES have competed in a charity golf day organised by the British Red Cross. The event which took place on 19 June 2016 at Southerness Golf Club, Dumfries and Galloway was hotly contested with three teams tied for first place on 91 stableford points.

Despite the torrential rain during the back nine RES battled on to finish in a respectable 6th place with a score of 85 stableford points. As well as entering a team for the event RES also sponsored one of the 18 holes.

In total the event raised £10,800 for the British Red Cross, a charity dedicated to heping people in need as a result of conflicts, natural disasters or individual emergencies. Further information about the British Red Cross can be found here.
