June 2016: Turbine delivery dry-run complete

At the start of June the project team and our turbine manufacturer Nordex carried out a turbine delivery dry-run at Minnygap.

The purpose of the dry-run was to ensure that the site access track had been constructed to a sufficient standard to allow the safe delivery of turbine components. Potential pinch points on-site (see picture below) were tested against all the requirements set by Nordex.

Elsewhere at Minnygap, the concrete pours for the turbine foundations has started with T4 and T5 being completed last week.

The picture below shows a low loader that has been extended to simulate a turbine blade delivery, making its way up the site access track to the turbine foundations. The second image shows the complete concrete pour at turbine 5.
